Lowassa hits at JK govt over economy

Main opposition Chadema presidential candidate Edward Lowassa said yesterday that indecisiveness and and poor performance of the current government was a major cause of extreme poverty among Tanzanians.

The past four days have not been good for businesses, which is understandable. Many businesses remained closed on Sunday when Tanzanians went to the polls. Similarly, on Monday and, to some extent on Tuesday, Dar es Salaam and other major urban areas were not as busy as they normally are as many residents remained indoors to follow election results on radio and TV.

There are a number of discussions that have been held before the 2015 general election in Tanzania. There will also be a number of discussions after the election.
