Lowassa now hits at JK govt over economy

Ukawa presidential candidate Edward Lowassa yesterday hit out at President Jakaya Kikwete’s government, saying it was responsible for the hardships Tanzanians were facing.

The past four days have not been good for businesses, which is understandable. Many businesses remained closed on Sunday when Tanzanians went to the polls. Similarly, on Monday and, to some extent on Tuesday, Dar es Salaam and other major urban areas were not as busy as they normally are as many residents remained indoors to follow election results on radio and TV.
