An opinion poll showing CCM candidate John Magufuli leading his Chadema rival Edward Lowassa by 40 per cent has drawn strong reaction from politicians and academicians.

The wife of Mr Edward Lowassa, the former Prime Minister and presidential candidate on Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema) ticket, Regina, has pleaded with women countrywide to vote for his husband and opposition leaders, saying they know exactly where to raise the much-needed school fees for their children.
