Nigerian arrested with Sh90m drugs

Nigerians continue using the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam as their drug trafficking exit point following the latest arrest a few hours into the New Year of another drug mule from the West African nation.

>On average, drug mules can swallow between 80 grammes and 125grammes of capsules containing cocaine. For heroin, that would be  800 grammes and 1,025grammes. While there are daredevils who may ingest more than two kilogrammes of illicit drugs, it is a rare event even in the world of drug mules and traffickers.

>A 65-year-old Nigerian woman has been arrested at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) on suspicion of attempting to smuggle out a large quantity of heroin she had swallowed.
