NIMR collects data on dengue fever outbreak

>An industrial production survey is going on to enable the government to have data for the 2015/16-2020/21 development plan.

Dar es Salaam City is under attack of a viral fever – the dengue, which is also known as break bone – that painful, debilitating mosquito-borne disease. The virus that causes it is related to those that lead to West Nile infection and yellow fever.

Over 370 people have been diagnosed with dengue fever since the start of the year, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
