Precisely two weeks from today, 23 million Tanzanians will vote to elect their Fifth Phase councillors, MPs and Union President. In the Isles, the Sunday, October 25 polls will also see citizens in that part of the United Republic elect Members of the House of Representatives and Zanzibar President.

>The National Electoral Commission (NEC) yesterday reversed its position on the referendum on the new constitution, saying it is now in a position to make the necessary preparations for the April 2015 event.
