Only modern farming will liberate farmers
Speaking in Lindi at the climax of Farmers’ Day celebrations, President Jakaya Kikwete informed the nation that Tanzania has enough food reserve to feed the population for three years. That is encouraging news indeed, given that our recent past has seen numerous parts of the country being reduced to relief food dependants in certain periods of the year.
