Optimism as Swala IPO starts positively

The Tanzania Sisal Board (TSB) has reported here that efforts to attract various investors in the sector to raise utilisation of the plant from the current two per cent to 50 per cent by 2021 as well as increase employment and foreign exchange have started to bear fruit.

The sale of shares by Swala Oil and Gas (Tanzania) through initial public offer (IPO) is starting today as the company seeks to raise Sh4.8 billion.

Swala Oil and Gas Tanzania, a subsidiary of Australia-listed Swala Energy, is seeking to raise Sh4.8 billion in the coming Initial Public Offering (IPO) as the regulator approved the company’s prospectus.
