PRESIDENT Ali Mohamed Shein, on Tuesday inaugurated water system at Mwembe-Madema area, Kikwajuni in Zanzibar saying the success was part of the implementation of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) manifesto and among government programmes.

In 2012, the over 5,000 of Kwamsisi and Kwakombo villages in the Korogwe Town Council hoped that poor water supply would be a thing of the past, but this has hardly been the case.

The Singida municipal council has spent Sh2.1 billion to implement water project which will benefit ten villages.  The implementation of the project, funded by World Bank, started in 2012.
