SOCCER: Cecafa Challenge Cup cancelled

>Mainland champions Azam FC have landed invitation to compete in this year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup, which kicks off tomorrow in Kigali, Rwanda.

>Soccer enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer before witnessing this year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup, it has been revealed.

The New Vision [Uganda] of this Friday November 28, 2014 has run a news story on Page 49 titled ‘CECAFA SHOW OFF’ under which the author indicated that this year’s CECAFA edition won’t take place.

As much as the author doesn’t clearly indicate the source of his information for the alleged call-off of the regional event, he somewhere claims to have spoken to me yesterday [Thursday] which never happened.

I therefore wish to clarify as follows:

1.    It’s true, this year’s CECAFA challenge Cup...
