A candidate for Kogi state governor in central Nigeria dies as the votes were being counted.

Voters are going to the polls in Botswana in what is expected to be the closest general elections in the world's largest diamond producer.

The Tanzania Election Monitoring Committee (Temco) will deploy a total of 13,400 long term and 298 short term observers to monitor the processes of referendum for the Proposed Constitution on April 30 and the October General Election.
