The Constituent Assembly (CA) resumed on Tuesday in absence of a Coalition of Defenders of the People’s Constitution (Ukawa) and without showing any concern for its contribution to the constitution making process.

David Moyes has been sacked by Manchester United with immediate effect. Chief executive Ed Woodward arrived at Carrington at 8am on Tuesday morning to inform the Scot face-to-face of the news.

The search for a candidate to run for the union presidency on the opposition ticket, has turned into a hide and seek game with leaders failing yet again to announce the all-important name as planned yesterday. A press conference called by officials of the main parties forming the opposition coalition known as Ukawa was cancelled at the last minute yesterday without reasons being stated publicly.

This question was supposed to be asked when President Jakaya Kikwete announced that referendum for the proposed constitutions will be held on April 30, this year. 

President Jakaya Kikwete said yesterday he was optimistic talks between the Registrar of Political Parties and major political parties will unlock the stalemate on the constitution review process.
