American diplomat recalls some highlights of Zanzibar Revolution

Mr Petterson was the vice consul at the US Consulate between 1963 and 1964 and consul in 1965. He was later nominated by President Ronald Regan as the US ambassador to Tanzania in 1986. Excerpts.
