10 steps to raise growth in Tanzania’s insurance
Dar es Salaam. Africa boasts 6 of the 10 fasted growing world economies, including Tanzania; yet insurance penetration (percentage of insurance to GDP) as a continent is under one per cent, compared to 1.6 per cent in Latin America. The African insurance sector in respect of insurance penetration and premium income is currently dominated geographically by Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
