Agricultural experts to discuss food security research

Over 120 agricultural stakeholders are meeting for a three-day conference to find  strategies to accelerate progress of innovative agriculture towards a stable food and nutrition security in the country.

Despite a high population growth, Tanzania has the potential to feed its population adequately, it has been reported.

>Agricultural scientists and other experts from across Africa are meeting in Nairobi today to discuss the threat posed by a maize disease to food security on the continent.

The Citizen on Sunday sought views from experienced researcher, Mr Aidan Eyakuze on the research results published by twaweza. here is what he said;

>Agricultural scientists are on the verge to encourage and promote farmers in various parts of the country to start keeping rats in their homes for nutritional, commercial purposes and environmental protection.
