Burundi to recall four legislators from Eala

There was outrage in the East African Legislative Assembly (Eala) currently holding a session here over a plan by Burundi government to withdraw four of its members from the House for reportedly siding with forces against President Pierre Nkurunziza’s extension of tenure.

Uganda’s representatives to the East African Legislative Assembly (Eala) should be recalled by Parliament, opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has demanded.

EALA has today met with Parliamentarians from the Kenya National Assembly and the Senate to push for the integration agenda.
In the meeting, EALA Members called on their counterparts to use every available opportunity to popularize the integration process in Kenya.  With devolution now in place in Kenya, legislators are optimistic that the counties and locations can fully embrace the integration message.
