The United Nations said Friday it will host another round of Libyan peace talks in Geneva next week, stressing that completing an agreement was a matter of “extreme urgency”.

Fresh talks to resolve South Sudan's crisis open more than two weeks after a ceasefire and despite a refusal to release detainees, a key rebel demand.

Talks between South Sudan's government and rebels are due to start later on Tuesday in attempt to agree to a ceasefire, mediators say.
