Court acts on drug case backlog

The High Court in Dar es Salaam is embarking on a fresh move to clear the backlog of drug-related cases that will see each judge assigned to hear at least one case, The Citizen has learnt.

THE High Court of Tanzania, Moshi Registry, will have cleared all pending court cases by April, this year, in order to live up to this year's theme of Justice Day - prompt dispensation of justice - the judge in charge, Justice Aisha Nyerere, has announced.
