Govt loses over Sh3bn in shoddy dam project
The government has wasted more than Sh3.4 billion of taxpayers’ money in the construction of two irrigation schemes in Mbeya Region after contractors implemented the project below the required standards, The Citizen has learnt.

The deputy minister for Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives, Mr Godfrey Zambi, said the government will form a team to investigate reasons behind failure to complete the irrigation dam project in Lwankyo Village, Igurusi Ward in Mbarali District.
