Govt’s e-learning to cover over 2,000 schools
The government has launched an e-learning programme that intends to cover more than 2,000 primary schools countrywide. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education programme was launched by the permanent secretary in the ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Prof Sifuni Mchome at the ICT in education exhibition that kicked off in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Over 54,000 get Form 5 places in public schools
Some 54,085 candidates who sat their Form Four national examination in 2013 have received the green light to proceed to Form Five. Another 17,442 candidates will have to settle for technical schools despite having the right qualifications.
