>A Canadian military ship has seized more than 280kg of heroin with an estimated street value of $490 million (Sh784 billion) aboard a vessel off the coast of Tanzania.

The knife-wielding militant who appears in gory Islamic State (IS) videos claiming responsibility for the beheadings of US, British and other hostages was refused entry to Tanzania and deported in 2009, according to international news media.
