Kigoda body set for arrival from India

Hundreds of mourners yesterday gathered at the Julius Nyerere International Airport to receive the body of the Minister for Industry and Trade, Dr Abdallah Kigoda, who died in India on Monday. The plane touched down at 3.30pm as a sombre mood engulfed the airport, where a crowd of about 400 people, including top government officials, assembled to receive the minister’s remains and comfort his family.

Minister for Trade and Industries Dr Abdallah Kigoda, 62, is no more.

Waziri wa Viwanda na Biashara, Mh Abdallah Kigoda (pichani) amefariki dunia jioni hii nchini India alikokuwa anapatiwa matibabu.

Taarifa za kifo cha Mh Kigoda ambaye pia alikuwa mbunge wa Handeni mkoani Tanga zimethibitishwa na ofisi ya Bunge jijini Dar es Salaam.

Mhe. Dkt. Kigoda alikwenda nchini India kwa matibabu tarehe 18 Septemba, 2015, kupata matibabu katika hospitali Hiyo ya Apollo. Taarifa zaidi kutolewa baadaye.
