A NEW era has dawned at one of the oldest training institutions in Tanzania. Moshi University College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS) becomes a university. The varsity now goes by the name of Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU).

Moshi co-op college now full-fledged varsity for EA

It began in the 1960s as Cooperative College. About a decade ago, it was transformed into the Moshi University College on Cooperatives and Business Studies (MUCCoBS), a constituent college of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (Sua).

So, when is the student fully taught?

Rita is fresh out of university after attaining a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. Like most graduates, top on her agenda was getting a job. Application after application, she received a phone call for a written interview as an online editor at one of the local media houses. She was ecstatic. This would be her big break. An hour later she handed in her answer sheet.
