Role of the EU in building global climate ambition
At no time has a global deal on climate change looked more likely than it does today. In October, EU leaders agreed on ambitious climate and energy targets for 2030, including a binding domestic greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of at least 40 per cent.

The three-day discussions are part of Africa’s planning for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP21) where a new global climate agreement is the expected outcome at COP21 in Paris in December.
