A Tanzanian insurance firm, NIKO Insurance, has rebranded to Sanlam General Insurance (Tanzania) limited as it seeks to strengthen its identity and expand visibility in East African markets.

Efforts by the government to improve the agricultural sector, which is the country’s backbone of the economy, statistics from the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) show that the growth of the sector is sluggish. One of the reasons for poor growth of the sector is lack of support from commercial banks.
