Alliance for Change and Transparency (ACT-Wazalendo) is uncertain whether it will field a presidential candidate in the October 25 General Election after the candidates it had presented to the National Electoral Commission declined the position.

The ACT Wazalendo parliamentary candidate in the just concluded elections for Kinonondoni Constituency Karama Masoud has said he will challenge in court election results that gave victory to CUF candidate.

The parliamentary candidate for Bariadi West on the ticket of ACT-Wazalendo, Mr Masunga Nghezo, has been found after he went missing for five days. The party’s information officer Abdallah Khamis confirmed yesterday saying that Mr Nghezo was found in Bariadi Town looking tired and dehydrated.
