Tanzania’s once magnificent tyre making company, the Arusha-based General Tyre East Africa Limited (GTEA) is set for revival. This is great news indeed for the country whose weak industrial sector is hugely to blame for the current unemployment crisis, which is standing at a conservative 12 per cent.
