EDITORIAL: Yes, Police can do better and clean up their image

>Dar es Salaam city doesn’t have to be dirty. We only need to make a categorical resolution to that effect. For, let’s face it: Dar es Salaam City, affectionately referred to as “Haven of Peace” is the country’s commercial capital and hence, the quintessential gateway to Tanzania.

>Principal Judge Fakihi Jundu’s order that judges of the high court hear 220 cases per month is a move in the right direction. In recent years, the judiciary has seemingly had serious problems ensuring that justice is dispensed on time.

And then, leaderships should organise monthly clean-up day that ropes in every resident, with agreed payment collected from those with a good reason not to physically participate.
