EVICTION: Uvinje villagers resist Saadani park expansion

A showdown is looming between residents of Uvinje village and the government as the latter is planning to evict the villagers from their lands.

More than 1,600 villagers from Njedengwa Ward in the municipality have appealed to the government to prevent Capital Development Authority (CDA) from  evicting them.

Aidha  serikali  imeiagiza Halmashauri  ya Wilaya ya Bagamoyo , kukaa na Shirika la Hifadhi za Taifa (TANAPA)  na wadau,  kurejea  mipaka ya zamani  ya eneo hilo, ili kuepusha mgongano usio na tija.
